Tokyo Desgin Week - Restart - is not just an event, but the birth of a TOKYO CREATIVE MOVEMENT. After several years of hiatus, 2023 will focus on “construction” and “architecture” with a 3 day program featuring 3 generations of architects, and aspiring architects.
An exhibition of three of Japan’s top architects - Toyo Ito, Kazuyo Sejima and Tadao Ando, simultaneously with an exhibition of 12 up-and-coming young architects, and an exhibition of primary school students’ architectural concepts under the guidance of Toyo Ito.
The culmination of the event is a 6 hour talk show with Toyo Ito, Chikashi Suzuki and Maki Onishi, moderated by scientist and researcher Ken Mogi, on 18 November, 2023, beginning at 11 am.
