The Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) or CEA was established on 14 August 2018 through the elevation of Thailand Creative & Design Center into a public organization under the supervision of the Office of the Prime Minister. CEA’s mandate is to promote and strengthen Thailand’s creative economy as a key driver toward balanced and sustainable long-term economic development. One of CEA’s core missions is the development of creative districts — fostering environments that encourage creativity, entrepreneurship, and new business formation, while strengthening connections with surrounding communities. CEA also supports the growth of creative industries by enhancing capabilities and building networks, enabling creativity to serve as a strategic tool for business advancement and improved quality of life for Thai people. The Isan Creative Festival is organized under the supervision of CEA Khon Kaen.
