Every October, Dutch Design Week (DDW) transforms the city of Eindhoven into a vibrant international hub for design. Over nine days, more than 2,600 designers present their work and ideas to an audience of 300,000+ visitors from around the world. With 450+ exhibitions, talks, ceremonies, debates, and gatherings across 120+ locations, DDW is one of the world’s leading design festivals.
DDW focuses on the design of the future and the future of design. The festival highlights how designers shape positive change and aims to strengthen the role of design in society — including the international and evolving landscape of Dutch design.
More than a stage for designers, DDW is a collaborative platform that welcomes cultural institutions, venues, brands, organizations, and entrepreneurs—provided their projects are driven by design. DDW believes that design thrives on co-creation and cross-sectoral exchange, making the festival a shared space for imagining and prototyping our collective future.
Driven by a commitment to talent development and knowledge exchange, DDW addresses key societal challenges through five guiding perspectives so-called missions:
Living Environment, Thriving Planet, Digital Futures, Health & Well-being, and Equal Society.
