BDF (Bucharest Design Festival) created by THE INSTITUTE Foundation, is the biggest creative festival in & of Bucharest, Romania. It will take place between 20 May - 21st June, in over 100 locations across Bucharest, and it will focus on design, architecture & art for professionals, emerging talents and the broader audiences. We expect 100.000 visitors at the 1st BDF (Bucharest Design Festival) edition.
THE INSTITUTE Foundation has a legacy of over 25 years in building complex and durable creative industries' ecosystems in Romania, with iconic projects like RDW (Romanian Design Week), DIPLOMA Show and Creative Quarter. For its 1st edition in 2026, BDF will unite these 3 legacy projects with new Formats, in one full month of exhibitions & events across the capital.
In 2026, BDF will feature 6 main Formats: BDF Professional (signed by Romanian Design Week), BDF Young (signed by DIPLOMA Show), BDF Communities (signed by Creative Quarter), BDF Satellites, BDF GO! & BDF Highlights: Branding Romania Through Creativity.
